I love a nice hot shower. The feeling of hot water gently massaging my neck. The water gliding down my back and my spine. Sudsey soap (I like Irish Spring, personally) filling the air with fragrance, and the renewal of cleansing, envigorating water. A nice hot shower is one of the simple, yet sublime pleasures of life.
If you are a man made global warming believing environmentalist you should never, ever, EVER take a nice hot shower. You should only bathe in cold or room temperature water. You are harming Our Mother by your self-indulgent need to artificialy warm your ablution. It is selfish of you, and profoundly hypocritical.
You should also desist from the use of soaps, as the residue enters the waste stream and ends up in Our Mother's environment. Ditto shampoo, which has the additional detriment of adding plastic waste into landfills. You may want to consider rinsing your hair with your own urine.
As you have undoubtebly joined Sheryl Crowe in the One Square Club (to save the trees), you should, in your three minute, cold shower pay especial attention to your backside. Your neighbors will appreciate that.

My daughter would say it is European not to bath. She hates getting on a subway in most places in Europe just because of the musky odors that fill the air.
