The inevitable results of liberal policies

A woman encouraged her husband to have sex with a 12-year-old girl so that she would get pregnant and they could claim extra cash benefits.

Alicia Bouchard even sat and watched while her 26-year-old husband had sex with the underage girl at their Florida home.

According to an arrest warrant, the 41-year-old wanted the girl to fall pregnant so that she and her husband would have extra income from state benefits.

Moments before she was slain last week on Chicago's Southwest Side, 17-year-old Charinez Jefferson begged the gunman not to shoot because she was pregnant, prosecutors said today.

Despite her plea, Timothy Jones, 18, opened fire on Jefferson anyway, yelling an expletive at her as he shot her in the head, prosecutors said. He then stood over her as she lay on the ground and fired several more times, striking her in the chest and back.

We reward bad behavior and pretend to be shocked when people adapt to these rewards. Liberals reject morality and religion and then profess to be stunned when their creations are soulless, remorseless monsters.

The US and Europe are just now starting to pay the debts for 40-70 years of liberalism. These debts will eventually collapse the societies that created them. This was inevitable the day much of the legislation was passed, but few had the courage to admit it. Now few will have the ability to avoid the fallout.

"Prayers for peace draw gunfire on North Side; one woman critical"

Pull quotes:

"Standing in a circle with heads bowed, three dozen men, women and children stood in a Walgreens parking lot in north Minneapolis on Tuesday night, praying for peace.

They had come from several churches to call for an end to neighborhood violence that only days earlier had claimed the life of 14-year-old Quantell Braxton, found shot in the street several blocks away.

And then someone fired at them.

"As soon as I closed my eyes to pray, shots rang out," said K.G. Wilson, who said he heard seven or eight shots. Bullets struck a young woman who had been standing with friends nearby and grazed the face of a man who had been praying with the group, according to police and witnesses.

The woman is expected to survive, though she's listed in critical condition at Hennepin County Medical Center"

Money quote from the hapless Liberal Establishment:

"Ron Edwards, a North Side community activist and a former member of the Police Community Relations Council, called the recent spike in violence frightening. "One of the things I'm concerned about is I don't think there's a real plan on how to address this problem," he said. "This raises some serious questions. ... The victims are getting younger, the perpetrators are getting younger and we seem to have fewer and fewer answers on how to deal with this."

I'm thinking applications for federal and state funding to "study" the issue is soon forthcoming. Maybe 2AM basketball to augment the Midnight basketball?

You have to question why they were praying when liberalism refuses to admit any right or wrong, let alone the existence of a higher power then the self.

I'd say they'd do more good bringing weapons than prayer books.

Well done Bart LOL!!!!

Questioning ones faith Bart? That sounds like something you would accuse a liberal of doing. "Higher power than the self" ? I had you all wrong you ARE a poor judge of character and out of touch with mankind.

I don't see Conservative groups trying to remove all traces of religion from public life. The ACLU is a liberal group.

Liberals laugh at Rick Perry for attending a prayer meeting, but then expect me to believe them when they "pray" for North Minneapolis?

I am wrong about the higher power, liberals put their faith in government. They think that bureaucrats are worthy of their faith and that God and the individual are not.

Our slums are fueled by failing liberal programs, from the Government run public schools to welfare to the systematic and intentional dismantling of society norms like shame for poor behaviors. People used to be ashamed to have a child out of wedlock, not it is odd if a black child is born to married parents. People used to be ashamed to have to ask for welfare, food stamps and even unemployment, these programs have been ramped up to the point you are foolish not to get your cut from our free spending governments.

I'm sorry, but any liberal that thinks there is any room for God, morals or religion on the left, is hopelessly out of date. The left is the Godless party and has been ever since abortion became their rallying cry.

I don't know where you get your info Bart. I know a lot of liberals that attend worship. Methinks you are painting with a broad brush again. Condolences to the family of the child recently slain. Our prayers are with your family.

There is still a fairly strong religious leaning in the African-American community. Mainly Baptist.

From the article in the Strib quoted above:

"The Rev. Jerry McAfee, president of the Minnesota State Baptist Convention and pastor of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, said the community has to stand ready to combat the violence.

"We have to resolve that we can't surrender our space come hell or high water. My mind-set is always, 'We come in peace.' But if you want war, I'll give you war. ... If we decide to stay in our houses and not challenge this stuff and these kids, we'll always lose."

This is how the violence will end, good people standing up against it.

The problem is that they don't see how the gov't programs are destroying their families and their religion. They think welfare is good, not a destruction of the two-parent household, especially in their communities...

If someone is shooting at you, you want a gun or Bible with you? LBJ's handy work has ruined the urban family, beit Black, white or latino.

People have to know that no one will protect you but yourself.

I food not say that religion would protect us nobody. In the presence of gunfire, I'll take solid cover over a gun pre bible any day.

Go ahead nobody but I believe you will be breaking a commandment by doing so but what do I know I'm just a godless liberal.

No I won't be. You can defend yourself without fear of God going nuclear on you. In the Hebrew text it's about Murder, not just killing.
