Contained in this link is a nifty interactive calculator. Just enter your annual salary and it will calculate what your federal tax burden is currently scheduled to be, then what it will be if the tax cuts expire. The BMW and I will experience an increase in our tax burden of nearly 12%. We are not rich.
After the break, you'll find a breakdown of what the increases will mean.

Hey look! It's the Obama's, on another vacation!! And what do you know, the liberal MSM is covering for them, calling this vacation "showing the Gulf as a vacation spot".
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - Catching a glimpse of porpoises, President Barack Obama and his family went boating Sunday as part of a weekend trip to the Gulf of Mexico that was designed to showcase the region's attractions as well as the president's concern for those affected by the BP oil spill.
Nope, nothing to see here, please move along. How fucking pathetic. I hope you liked the porpoises, Mr. President. You got to see them thanks to my taxes.

...but what is he sorry about? I'm not entirely certain he's sorry for the right reasons.
Eight-term Indiana Rep. Mark Souder announced his resignation Tuesday after admitting to an affair with a female aide who worked in his district office.
Souder, a Republican, will will step down on Friday. He said in remarks obtained by Fox News that he "sinned against God, my wife and my family by having a mutual relationship with a part-time member of my staff."
"I wish I could have been a better example," he said. "In this poisonous environment of Washington D.C., any personal failing is seized upon, often twisted, for political gain. I am resigning rather than to put my family through that painful, drawn-out process. ... We are a committed family but the error is mine and I should bear the responsibility. Not only am I thankful for a loving family but for a loving God."

I might lose my effing mind. I have a friend that has been working TONS of hours as an aide at the capital and as we all know, the state House and Senate have been working their tails off trying to finish the budget. Well, she came upon a room where a few House members were sitting having a very serious discussion.
