How's that trying detainees in civilian courts going for ya Barry & Howard? I'll tell you how. The first Guantanamo detainee to face a civilian trial was acquitted Wednesday of most charges he helped unleash death and destruction on two U.S. embassies in Africa in 1998, an opening salvo in Al Queda’s campaign to kill Americans.
A federal jury convicted Ahmed Ghailani of one count of conspiracy and acquitted him of all other counts, including murder and murder conspiracy, in the embassy bombings. The anonymous federal jury deliberated over seven days, with a juror writing a note to the judge saying she felt threatened by other jurors.
This is the kind of slack-jawed, conspiracy laden, incompetent crap we can look forward to with civilians determining the fate of terrorists doing their all to kill you. Not to mention being lawered up with every Guccied publicity hog out there. All thanks to Barry & Howard's touchy feely gotta bend over backwards to prove to the world we're not gonna harm a Muslim hair on their chinny chin chin.
On the eve of Ghailani's trial last month, the judge barred the government from calling a key witness because the witness had been identified while Ghailani was being held at a secret CIA camp where harsh interrogation techniques were used. Just one instance that wouldn't happen in a military tribunal, but one that could set these asswipes free in civilian courts.
Prosecutors had alleged Ghailani helped an Al Queda cell buy a truck and components for explosives used in a suicide bombing in his native Tanzania on Aug. 7, 1998. The attack in Dar es Salaam and a nearly simultaneous bombing in Nairobi, Kenya, killed 224 people, including 12 Americans.
The day before the bombings, Ghailani boarded a one-way flight to Pakistan under an alias, prosecutors said. While on the run, he spent time in Afghanistan as a cook and bodyguard for Osama bin Laden and later as a document forger for Al Queda, authorities said.
So, who's ready for Khalid Sheik Mohammed's trial in New York City???

Mr Obama steps up to the podium for his post game comments on the Democrat blood bath last night. You might say he woke up to a donk head in his bed.
He feels that folks want more transparency (wasn't that in his campaign) and openess. When asked about how he felt personally, he said he "felt bad." When asked if things were going to change in his approach he said (now let me paraphrase) no. He feels the country got a good look at him in Iowa, what he's all about and who he is in the year leading up to the 08 election.
Still, he feels this election was all about the economy and nothing else that he has done. In fact, when asked if he is going to "work with the other side" he said, if the Republicans have any ideas on how to improve healthcare, he "would listen."

As I mentioned in "Tough Guy" on October 7th, minions (i.e. Franken) of the Democrat party are going after the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for taking in foreign moneys and backing Republican candidates, which in essence they are doing. It ain't that simple though, as Barry would have you believe.
Since the Supreme Court's January decision in 'Citizens United vs. FEC, donks in Congress have been trying to pass legislation to repeal the First Amendment for business, BUT not for unions. Like much of what they do, it failed misserably. What would any good librul do? Use the back door. Chairman Max Baucus of the Senate Finance Committee got the ball rolling last month when he asked Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Douglas Shulman to investigate if certain tax exempt 501(c) groups like Americans for Job Security and American Crossroads (GOP groups) had violated the law by engaging in too much political campaign activity.
Fast forward to last week. Mr Obama raised the issue in a Maryland speech, saying that "groups that receive foreign money are spending huge sums to influence American elections." Within hours of the ThinkProgress report stating the Commerce had used foreign money for political influence, the bully boys at MoveOn fricken org asked the Department of Justice to launch a criminal investigation into the Chamber. That was fathead Frankens cue for his letter to the Commerce.
Then comes fearless (anything but a) leader in carefully worded campaign speeches last week, saying that these groups are taking in said money and backing Republicans. I said carefully because never, in his statements, did he say the above organizations used that money to support the GOP.
At an Illinois rally, our dope in chief singled out Karl Rove as funding political agencies that are attempting to beat donk Senate nominee Alexi Giannoulias using the same back handed strategy of carefully worded statements. The DNC even rolled out an add saying they are "spending millions from secret donors to elect Republicans to do their bidding in Congress."
That didn't much settle well with Karl. He shot back with "Have these people no shame? Does the president of the United States have such little regard for the office that he holds that he goes out there and makes these kind of baseless charges against his political enemies?" My answers would be yes and yes.

Hey look! It's the Obama's, on another vacation!! And what do you know, the liberal MSM is covering for them, calling this vacation "showing the Gulf as a vacation spot".
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - Catching a glimpse of porpoises, President Barack Obama and his family went boating Sunday as part of a weekend trip to the Gulf of Mexico that was designed to showcase the region's attractions as well as the president's concern for those affected by the BP oil spill.
Nope, nothing to see here, please move along. How fucking pathetic. I hope you liked the porpoises, Mr. President. You got to see them thanks to my taxes.

1. Woke up this AM far too early again to go to the gym. As we left the driveway, we noticed the trunk and car doors on our neighbor's vehicle were wide open. Someone broke in overnight and rifled through the vehicle; luckily, nothing of value was taken. Really nice, considering this neighbor (a retired 20 year Navy Seabee) recently returned from an 18 month National Guard deployment in Iraq. Nice, serve your country, and come home and have some little asshole(s) break into your car. I SO wish he would have caught them in the act...he's got a .45 for just the occasion, and my would it have been sweet to see their faces when that popped out of the back door.
2. I am not particularly fond of the term "innards".
3. A Happy Belated Birthday to our President. Way to be born 49 years and one day ago, Mr. President.

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama's advisers will remove religious terms such as "Islamic extremism" from the central document outlining the U.S. national security strategy and will use the rewritten document to emphasize that the United States does not view Muslim nations through the lens of terror, counterterrorism officials said.
The change is a significant shift in the National Security Strategy, a document that previously outlined the Bush Doctrine of preventative war and currently states: "The struggle against militant Islamic radicalism is the great ideological conflict of the early years of the 21st century."
Oh, but it gets better.

Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.

A 78-year-old Carroll woman says she's so tired of seeing President Barack Obama on the airwaves that she's selling her television sets - two of them.
Deloris Nissen, a retired nurses' aide and former Kmart employee who was raised on a farm near Audubon, placed a classified advertisement with The Daily Times Herald for Friday's paper.
In the $5.50 ad, Nissen tells readers she has two television sets for sale.
The reason: "Obama on every channel and station."
In an interview Nissen said she is serious about selling two TVs - and genuine about her disgust with what she believes to be an overexposed president.
"I just got tired of watching him on every channel," Nissen said. "I thought, my gosh, does he ever stay at the White House?"
When the president does appear on a channel she happens to be watching, Nissen said, she quickly turns.
"I have the remote real handy," Nissen said. "I have the batteries. I'm ready for him."
She has this in common with my wife, who can't stand the sight of the Liar-in-Chief any more.
To paraphrase Lyndon B. Johnson "If we've lost Deloris Nissen, we've losr middle America. .
2010 is going to be a Congressional bloodbath.

President Barack Obama says the weekend ouster of Honduran leader Manuel Zelaya was a "not legal" coup and that he remains the country's president.
Yep, that quote is from our Democrat "Not Ready for Primetime" President. You really can't make this shit up. Reality has a way of slapping idealistic morons up side the head, so Obambi should have quite a headache by now.
Hours after the sitting president was deposed by a military-led coup, a new president of Honduras was sworn in Sunday.

This is an open discussion thread about what we expect to happen if/when the Obama Administration bankrupts that United States of America.
I know that some are hording gold, silver, ammo and even water. I'm not doing any of thiose things as I don't think hyper-inflation and a bankrupt federal government will effect me as much as it will effect the unionized government employees and the moochers.
If you have an idea of what you think WILL happen, please let me know. If possible draw an parallel to a country or society where this has happened. Hyper-inflation is hardly new to the globe so we should have some guidelines as to what we should expect.
