Obama's "Patriots"

Last night Barak Insane Obama compared the patriotism of GW Bush with the deranged liberals that hated the Iraq war. Here is a sampling of what Uber-leftyist liberal Obama thinks is patriotism.

Dick Durbin compared the thankless efforts of U.S. interrogators to the work of "Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime -- Pol Pot or others -- that had no concern for human beings." This was not a flip comment by a Durbin caught on tape after a few drinks. He said this on the Senate floor, reading from a text, on June 14, 2005, amid the worst stretch of killings of American soldiers by terrorists inside Iraq.

Taking a page from Durbin's playbook, Congressman John Murtha accused Marines of killing "innocent" Iraqi civilians "in cold blood." The Pennsylvania Democrat, himself a veteran, said that Marines from the 3rd Battalion were "cold blooded killers" who "murdered innocent civilians." So slanderous were Murtha's comments that the acquitted Marines filed a lawsuit.

On May 10, 2004, (Ted) Kennedy went to the Senate floor and declared: "On March 19, 2004, President Bush asked: ‘Who would prefer that Saddam's torture chambers still be open?' Shamefully, we now learn that Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management -- U.S. management."

Recall the wartime leadership of Senator Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who literally thrilled Al-Qaeda when he called the president of the United States a "liar," a "loser," and declared "this war is lost."

Besting Reid was Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA). In October 2007, Stark, in addition to parroting Reid by calling the president a liar, also ripped America's troops for "blow[ing] up innocent people" and accused George W. Bush of desiring to send more American boys "to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the president's amusement."

How can BO even think that these vile people are patriotic? Well, he agrees more with them than he does with the men and women that fought and won in Iraq. Here is what Barak Insane Obama said about our troops.

Particularly bothersome was Obama's August 2007 assessment of America's fighting men and women: "We've got to get the job done there [Iraq]. And that requires us to have enough troops so that we're not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians."

The man is clearly unfit to be the commander and cheif of the military.

you're using a fair and balanced source.

Are you denying American interrogators used tactics in violation of the Geneva Convention? Apparently, they were worried enough to destroy the tapes.

And, since you all believe so much in polls, the most recent ones show almost 2/3 of Americans think it was a mistake to have ever gone into Iraq and a large majority do not think it worth the lives or the money.

There were no WMD's, Sadam was not connected to 9/11 and the Iraqi military was considered a threat to national security somewhere below Sweden. Bush Jr. wanted to settle the score for his old man and Bush/Cheney really just wanted to attack some one after 9/11.

Um, Don. The Geneva Conventions cover uniformed combatants. You don't get to rewrite them. You are the only one claiming that Saddam was connected to 9/11. Typical spin and misrepresentation. BDS never dies, it seems to just fester.

Refuted with opinion, not facts. Please by all means cite evidence of the existence of WMD's or Saddams connection to 9/11.

It's only a small fringe of the US population left who denies the fact that techniques we used violated international law.

Um, Don, screw international law. Sadam used WMD against the Kurds. One would think you'd be over your BDS by now.

What part of the Geneva Conventions don't you understand? Under them they could have all been summarily executed. Legally. Look up the word "uniformed", Don.
Speaking of facts, you seem to be pretty devoid of them.
You are the fringe.

Girls, tone it down just a little if you don't mind... or go pull each others' pigtails elsewhere... for the love of Christ.
