I was sent this from a friend who blogs over at that blog whose owner likes to commute by bike (nudge, nudge).

Subject: Sicilian relaxation technique

Just in case you are having a rough day, here is a seven step stress management technique used traditionally in Sicily. It really works!

1. Picture yourself lying on your belly on a warm rock that hangs out over a crystal clear stream.
2. Picture yourself with both your hands dangling in the cool running water.
3. Birds are sweetly singing in the cool mountain air.
4. No one knows your secret place.
5. You are in total seclusion from that hectic place called the world.
6. The soothing sound of a gentle water fall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.
7. The water is so crystal clear that you can easily make out the face of Nancy Pelosi, the person you are holding under water.

I like the joke better when I susbtitute Dick Cheney for Pelosi, but it's all good.

Dammit, conservatives just can't stop urging violence! What clueless, humorless boneheads. Progressives like Pelosi are full of love for our fellow beings.

What's your next "joke" going to be, what a relief it would be to lynch Obama?

Part of what makes it unfunny, at least for me and probably most men of my generation, is we were brought up to believe only lowlifes and wimps and lowlife wimps threaten or harm women. The prevailing ethos of American culture at the time, reflected and instilled by everything from cartoons to westerns, was that good guys protect women and bad guys harm or threaten to harm them.

When you tell a "joke" that has you drowning a woman, in this instance a 70-year old grandmother, apparently it doesn't make you feel like a lowlife wimp or you wouldn't tell it. I'm curious as to why it doesn't. Got any thoughts on that?

Got any thoughts? Yes I do. You are a humorless troll who would not get a joke if it was spelled out beforehand. I bet you had a lot of yucks over the Bush assassination movie, though.
