Too late to affect the election, but maybe they are finally seeing the light behind the constructed facade of Obama.

I thought you were headed to Idaho with the canned goods and the ammo.

I don't have a vehicle large enough to carry it all.

That was a poor attempt at a joke. What is not a joke is that if their agenda succeeds there will be no place in the US to get away from them. I am not going anywhere just yet. I am going to fight back.

My mother fled her home in Eastern Europe with nothing but the blouse on her back in 1944 at the age of 17 when the Soviet army came through Rujiena. If it were me in those days, I would have stayed, fought back with my full abilities, and probably died. Had I survived the onslaught I would have become one of the Forest Brothers. Google it.

Kermit, I am thinking Texas like Il Duce, but am not going to go just yet.

I have an elderly mother that I must take care of until the end of her days. She has lived under both Stalin and Hitler and came to this country with nothing and gave me life. There is no way I will leave her for my own interests even though she tells me weekly that I am free to do so. She says the America she knew is no longer. She wants me to go elsewhere and build a new life... but where? If the Democrats finally turn America into a totalitarian Socialist state, where does one go? America has been the principal guardian of liberty and individual self-determination for generations.

If our current Marxist President succeeds in remaking America as a one-party Socialist prison camp, where can one leave for a better place? Is there an alternative to fighting back? I don't think so.

This is the last best hope. It is worth fighting for, and fight we shall. I am not giving up on the dream so many have bled for.
Fuck Obama.
Fuck the Democrats.
Fuck the socialists.

It ain't over til WE say it's over.

A and K are both right. Texas is still in the USA and will be affected by Cap and Trade, Socialized medicine and the bankruptcy of the country.

Our job, as Conservatives, is to keep the ideas alive that will resurrect the country after Obama has done his damage. We need to show people that liberalism is the path to poverty and eventually death.

When unemployment hits 12+%, people will start looking for answers. We need to be there to tell them among other things, WE FUCKING TOLD YOU SO!

Our country can't prosper by rewarding failure and punishing sucess. We will only recover by dramatically reducing the size of Federal, state and local government. We need to get as many Americans as possible working in the private sector. We need to close our borders and stop accepting both the un-skilled and skilled from other countries. Draining off their best and brightest is not a good long term strategy.

The moochers, acedamia and the press will fight us all the way, but when people really figure out that Obamism means that their kids will be poor, much much poorer than their parents, they will turn on the Democrats and the liberals with a vengence. This is the message the Republicans need to spread. Financially Obama, Pelosi and Reid have sold America's kids into financial slavery.

I think the msm has got a long way to go before you can consider them masculated. It is a start though. As far as Thomas is concerned, I think she just happened to wake up at that moment and her auto-response was to start bitching.
On the second subject here, I hear Honduras is starting up a real democracy, and guns with an auto mode are actually encouraged. Yeehaa!

My theory is that she had fallen asleep and awoke thinking that W was still President. This old bag of shit is a way-out lefty and has been for years. Maybe she's pissed that Obami forgot to prong her this week.

I think there was a small change starting a few days ago when a Fox reporter pushed back on that douchebag press secretary, Gibbs, about transparency. Did you see that? Maybe some of the pricks from the MSM will start to see opportunities to get attention by pushing Obami. But probably not.

Did you all see Ed Salden's note in the Strib today? Typical Ed, cranky and cynical.

Elmer, thanks for mentioning the STrib letter. I was hoping somebody would notice.

Good for Helen Thomas. If she'd done that to W, she would not be allowed to ask him another question for the rest of his term.

I'll be interested to see if Obama freezes her out or if he takes it like a man.
