As you can see, our country already has thousands of miles of oil pipelines, most built long before the current batch of enviroweenies were born. But hey, why let reality get in the way?

Cheap oil from Canada would not line the pockets of Soros, Buffet, and various commie bastards.

Are the leftist fever swamps talking about the pipeline and Koch brothers?

I notice that lefties are VERY worried that the koch brothers might make money. But when Obama directs a TRILLION dollars at green scams, Soros, Buffet, wall street fat cats, GM, the unions, half a billion on signs that say This project brought to you by Obama, and eight cents for paving county road 18, they are strangely silent.
Funny that. Tax money, our money doled out.
Did you know that the federal government was never going to build that pipeline? Some investors were going to use their OWN MONEY! Imagine that...
Obama just stopped these business people from doing, ya know, like business-sy kinda stuff.

71% of all crude oil is transported domestically via pipeline.
Pipelines have an established history of higher safety rate/mile than truck, train or tanker modes of transport.
Efficiencies of pipeline transmission are exponentially higher, the costs associated with the movement of oil in pipelines is FIXED and comes in at a fraction of the costs associated with the alternative methods.
Roads, rails and waterways are less congested, improving the productivity on these transportation methods for other uses and for extending the life of the infrastructures.
Pipelines produce no air pollution, unlike trucks, trains and boats.
The Keystone projects will generate 118,000 new jobs, which is not counting the ripple effect of employment generated in the local economies directly affected by the construction and maintainence activities on the pipeline.
The Keystone will generate $585 Million Dollars Annually in local, state and federal taxes.
Besides enriching the public coffers with heaping revenues of over 1/2 Billion Dollars annually, the project will enrich the Koch Brothers--- and every other individual wise enough to have invested in this shining example of how Capitalism works to improve the lives of each of the nation's citizens through direct financial rewards from taking risk and indirect societal rewards derived from cheaper energy costs and increased business activity.
