Further proof that we must starve the Beast

The Obama administration is setting new workplace regulations to assist foreign workers who fill goat herding positions in the U.S. , including employee-paid cell phones and comfy beds.

“A separate sleeping unit shall be provided for each person, except in a family arrangement,” says the rules signed by Jane Oates, assistant secretary for employment and training administration at the Labor Department.
“Such a unit shall include a comfortable bed, cot or bunk, with a clean mattress,” the rules state.
Diane Katz, a research fellow in regulatory policy at The Heritage Foundation, unearthed the policy in the "Federal Register," the massive daily journal of proposed regulations that Washington bureaucrats publish every day.

Under the Obama Administration, the nanny state has imposed 75 new major regulations with annual costs of $38 billion.

Every Administration for the last 50 years has talked about streamlining government and removing wasteful regulations and everyone except Reagan failed.

The natural state of government is expansion. The Framers of our Constitution knew this and put in restriction to the size and scope of our federal government. Over the last 200 years those restrictions have been stripped away. There is no way to reverse 200 years of laws and Supreme Court decisions.

So we are left with the only realistic opportunity for shrinking government, starve it.  We must insist on smaller balanced budgets. If we could cut $1.5 to $2 trillion out of the Federal budget, the bureaucrats would have to stop implementing stupid laws like this one. Maybe someone in Washington could focus on what is necessary vs what is nice to have.

Our country is broke and our economy sucks due to out of control federal, state and local governments. The best way to get them back under control is to stop funding them.

And is it any wonder why the Hiawatha cost more than $60 million per mile to build, some 3/4 of one billion dollars. Now Obama and Holder's legal goon squad is all about raising the future costs ever higher, spending years in litigation and ultimately getting a no-contest plea and fining certain companies close to $5 million for not making an honest-enough effort to hire minority sub-contractors.
