I just realized the someone is buying me lunch every day this week.
I often find it interesting to think about what I'm doing now vs. where I was at some time in the past. I was a typical broke college student and I still remember one day I stopped at the Fowl Play and spent $7 on lunch. It was a treat, it was something I couldn't afford to do everyday. I remember thinking that someday I'd be able to afford to eat lunch out everyday. That was a big goal for me at that point in my life. That is what I defined as a marker of success.
Needless to say, I hit that milestone quite a few years back. I guess I'm now moving into a different phase where people buy me lunch. I'm not bragging, my life has had many twists and turns and I find that some of the small ones can be as interesting as the big ones.
Anyway, take 5 minutes to step back and look at where you are now vs. 10, 20 or 30 years ago. If you can't find something that is better now than it was then, I truly feel bad for you.
PS. Here is an aside that should make some people feel better, I will also have no control over what's for lunch, so my diet is completely screwed this week. I have a hypothesis about how the higher you get in a corporation, the more unhealthy the job is. As you can see by my rotund profile, I have been too high up on the food chain for too long.

You've heard the "thirtyeight cents" story so I won't re tell it. Who was it that said "I've been broke and I've been well off, and I prefur the later." ?

I thought this guy was banned from Anti-Strib...
It's not hard to imagine. Just about every meal for me was free last week. Ate at Lobster on the Santa Monica Pier Monday, 208 on Rodeo in B-Hills the next day. Steak was much better at Lobster. That plus a few drinks equals a ton of calories.

You can do it Bart. Once you truly change your eating habits, it's easy.

Would be thinner if the economy was better. Fresh fruits and veggies are expensive. Mac & cheese and beans are not. That's one reason why the poor have so much problems with obesity.

It seems a bit cleaner and more reasonable in here right now.
IF you ask me, I think that guy was actually Miss "ReadMyBlog" Eva.
